Winter Camp

I've mostly stayed holed up this Winter but this past weekend I finally got out on the ground.
Made an overnight camp up on the Third Fork of Rock Creek intending on finishing my, camping in all four seasons, requirements for the AMM.
Saturday was spent making camp and exploring the surrounding country. When night came it got mighty uncomfortable with temps dropping below zero. Between my buffalo robe and keeping close to the dog and didn't freeze, but I didn't keep warm either.
Sunday morning I rolled out of bed when the dog left and I got more cold. When done with breakfast I raised camp and headed down the mountain.
First time for me camping in subzero temps, now I see why those mountaineers tried to stay holed up in the Winter!

Hurrah for mountain doin's!
